Yorkshire is a small European country located on the island of Great Britain, located between England and the Northumbrian Confederation. It had been part of the United Kingdom prior to the breakup of that state in the 1980s.

• North Riding - Historically an agricultural region.

  • Economic centre: Middlesbrough
• East Riding - Historically Yorkshire's maritime region.
  • Capital: Beverley
  • Economic centre: Kingston-upon-Hull
• West Riding - Historically the industrial region.
  • Capital: Wakefield
  • Economic centre: shared between Bradford, Leeds and Sheffield
